He said, “Why are you sleeping? Get up and pray that you may not enter into temptation.” —Lk 22:46
We can “fall asleep” on the job of following Jesus, just as the disciples did while Jesus underwent His agony in the Garden of Gethsemane. Does Jesus hate the disciples for forgetting Him? No. His love is so great He tells them—and us—pray that you may not enter into temptation.
“Jesus, loving Lord! I pray that I may never be tempted to forget or ignore You.”
